The player then needs to grab and remove the White Blocks ahead, jump up the next crack, and travel to the right, using Wood Blocks as platforms across the gap.
Jumping on the middle Jump Block, the player can jump up through a crack in the pipes, then the player needs to jump up two more cracks, avoiding a Para-Goomba in the process. To get through it, the player first needs to travel right until they come across Jump Blocks, with the middle of which containing a power-up. The player starts at the bottom-left of a large maze of entangled pipes in the middle of the desert. The level becomes accessible upon completing World 7-7 or World 7-8 and its own completion unlocks World 7- 2. World 7-9 is the ninth main level and eleventh level overall of Pipe Land in Super Mario Bros.
